How much do you charge for a bankruptcy?

Attorney fees vary from case-to-case, so we cannot quote fees. However, the first visit is FREE! At that appointment, the attorney will discuss your case at length, and determine, based on the information your provide, how much you’ll be charged. AGAIN, THE FIRST VISIT IS FREE!

Do I have to pay everything up front?

No. We can usually work out payment arrangements. Final determination is made on a case-by-case basis.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

You should come prepared to discuss your debts and income. It might be helpful if you made a list of questions for the attorney. Do not bring your bills. However, if you are involved in a lawsuit, or have questions regarding a specific bill or document, you should bring those papers.

Can you stop a foreclosure?

Yes. However, there is a very limited period of time to do this. You need to make an appointment to see us immediately. If you wait too long, it will be too late to save your home. If you advise us that your are facing foreclosure when you phone for an appointment, we will try to see you the same day.

My car was repossessed. Can you get it back?

Yes, we usually can. However, we need to file a case within ten (10) days of the repossession. You need to come in immediately. If you wait until the last minute, we will have to charge you more. Again, if you advise us that your car has been repossessed, we will try to see you the same day.

Can you stop garnishments or lawsuits?

Yes, but you need to come in right away and bring the court papers with you.

Does my spouse have to file with me?

No. However, if you have a lot of joint debt, or if your spouse has a lot of debt of their own, it may be better if you both file.

Seven (7) to Ten (10) years. However, this does not mean that you cannot get credit during that period. It just means that , bankruptcy will be a factor in determining your credit score.
